The MDHL U15 tournament team ran into a hot goalie in the 200x85 CCM Detroit Motown (Tacks Division) semifinals this past weekend, losing 2-0, but not before putting together a very impressive fall performance.

The team went 8-1 in their two tournaments, outscoring their opponents 44-13 en route to winning the NAR Motor City Classic in September and coming up just short of making it to the finals in the CCM Detroit Motown tournament in October.

This group has been a bright spot this MDHL season.  While it’s common for these players to blend in with the crowd during league-play where they’re up against 17 and 18 year olds, their talent was put on full display when matched up with other U15 aged players.  You’d have to go back a number of years to find a U15 group that was as skilled as this one, and it gives us good reason to look forward to the future as these players will continue to develop at the high school level and should form the bulk of the
MDHL U16 and U18 tournament teams moving forward.
Congratulations on a great fall!
